    Hi Dheeraj,

    Hope you are doing well.

I want to opt for financial modelling. Can you please guide me for the study material for financial modelling. I heard that if i need to complete the course or any training needs to be taken then i should at least complete the CFA level 1 study material first to have the understanding for financial modelling.

Please guide me if i am mistaken and what will be study material. how can i start from basics to till finish line via study material.

For your information:- I have done M.B.A as a distance course and have almost 6 years of experience working under the domain of capital market (in financial reporting, N.A.V reconciliation process) but wanted to go in financial modelling.

Hello Hitesh, Completing CFA level 1 for Financial Modeling is not an absolute must. Just that accounting concepts are used for financial modeling. If you have done your MBA, then you should have a basic understanding of accounting to jumpstart Financial Modeling. Infact, we have trained engineers on Financial Modeling with no knowledge on accounting to start with.
